SPLIT DAM ISOLATION TECHINIQUE

A very useful technique for your dentist when we have cavities under the gum is the use of a split dam. The ideal situation is when we have healthy anterior and posterior tooth, so we can isolate three teeth with a single narrow and elongated hole. We will help ourselves with the use of liquid dam to avoid the filtration of fluids to vestibular or palatine, and will allow us full access to the interproximal space, including the placement of matrix and wedges.
